In compliance with Utah Code 11-14-202, notice is given that the RAP Tax renewal will be on the Ballot for the Regular General Election being held Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Voting Locations & Precincts

Washington County will have Vote Center locations on November 5, 2024 to assist voters. Accessible voting equipment will be available at the vote center to assist voters with sight and mobility issues. Disabled voters may also contact the county Clerk’s office to learn more about a new program to assist them in voting independently at home, please contact us at (435) 301-7248.

All Washington County precincts will be available at the vote center location. The vote center locations are the Dixie Convention Center, 1835 Convention Center Dr, St George, Utah and the Hurricane Community Center, 63 S 100 W, Hurricane Utah 84737. More information can also be found on the county’s website or https://vote.utah.gov/. The polls will open November 5, 2024 at 7:00 am and continue open until 8:00 pm of the same day.

If there are any changes to the location of a vote center or the addition of a vote center more information will be provided at county’s website or https://vote.utah.gov/.

Regarding imposing a Recreation, Arts, and Parks Sales Tax (RAP Tax)

Should Washington County impose a one tenth of one percent (1/10th of 1%) sales and use tax for the purpose of funding recreational and cultural facilities and organizations such as the following:

  1. Publicly owned or operated athletic fields, parks, playgrounds, gymnasiums, swimming pools, campgrounds, trails, or other facilities used for recreational purposes; and
  2. Non-profit organizations, institutions, and municipal or county cultural councils having as their primary purpose the advancement and preservation of art, music, theater, dance, cultural arts, or natural history?
