What We Do

At the Washington County Legacy Park we work to provide high quality service at a beautiful and clean facility people love to come visit. Whether it’s for a horse race, banquet, rodeo, barrel race, horse show or any of the numerous other events our goal is make sure everyone is treated with great customer service so they’ll want to return.

Mission Statement

First and foremost is to generate as much economic impact to Washington County by offering activities that will encourage people to stay at our beautiful Fair Park. Our goal is to treat every customer the way we expect to be treated. If we value each client and take pride in a high level of service the Fair Park will succeed.

I grew up in northern Utah and enjoyed playing all major sports in high school. While living there my hobbies included snow skiing, water skiing, snowmobiling, river running, horse activities i.e. trained and ran race horses and show horses throughout the intermountain area including classes in halter, western pleasure, reining, heading and cow cutting. My wife and I taught 4-H and our children went on to play high school sports and be involved in musical theater and dance.

While living in northern Utah I was on the Utah State University Vocational Board, a member of the Rich County School Board, served on the Cache Valley Travel Council and the Rich County Water Board.

My wife and I moved to St George in 1985. Since moving to southern Utah I have continued working with our horses and started a new hobby of riding four wheelers and watching our grandchildren participate in a variety of activities. I have been a member of the Washington County Travel Council and enjoy working and helping the Fairgrounds achieve success.
