NOTICE is hereby given that there are five (5) board positions available on the interim board for the Western Fire Special Service District. Interim board members serve at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County for indefinite terms.
It is expected that the interim board members will be appointed to the administrative control board for the District when it is created, though the Washington County Commission reserves the right to appoint any qualified individual to the initial board of the newly created District.
To qualify for appointment to this interim board, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a U.S. Citizen;
- Be a qualified elector (registered voter) of the proposed

Deadline Extended on RFP for Dixie Convention Center Chiller Upgrade
To all those working on proposals for the RFP “Dixie Convention Center Chiller Upgrade”.
After due consideration and in response to concerns from different parties, we are extending the deadline for the proposals on this RFP from Tuesday, November 15th to Monday, November 28th.
This should give everyone time to finish up check and recheck all the details of your proposals before submitting them on the 28th.

Calling all Washington County residents! UDOT wants your feedback, learn more from their summary below.
The preliminary alternatives are now available for public review on the study website for UDOT’s environmental study to evaluate a potential new interchange at I-15 and 700 South in St. George.
Today starts the comment period which runs through December 10th. You can let us know any feedback you have on the preliminary alternatives or overall study process by:
- Submitting a comment at our In-Person Alternatives Review Meeting on November 15 from 4 – 7 pm at Atwood Innovation Plaza at Utah Tech University (453 South 600 East in St. George)
