- Under the direction of the County Attorney, the Civil Division acts as the legal advisor to all of Washington County’s Governmental Entities.
- As in-house counsel for the county, our roles include providing legal advice to all Washington County elected officials, departments, and boards as well as drafting local laws, negotiating contracts, land use planning and representing the county in legal actions.
- Our office also assists in recovering debts, fines, and forfeitures on behalf of the county.
