Washington County will receive sealed proposals until 10:00 am local time, Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Washington County Commission Office for
the following project:

This project consists of roadway construction which includes widening SR-18 with approximately 18 feet of additional pavement in the Northbound direction from The Ledges to the North Snow Canyon entrance. Roadway excavation, drainage, traffic control, and other related items included. Construction period will be from date Notice To Proceed is issued to May 1, 2022. This project may be awarded at the discretion of the Owner.

Replacing the Existing Exhibit Hall Lighting System
with an Upgraded More Useable and
Lumen Appropriate LED replacement System
at the Dixie Convention Center

The Dixie Convention Center is seeking proposals from interested and qualified companies to replace the existing Lighting system of the Dixie Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall with an upgraded LED system with more useable options, which has the appropriate illumination for the area, that can be dimmable and have individual fixture addressability. Proposals must include the removal of any discarded portions of the old system and installation of a suitable replacement for the old system. It must include any labor charges, cabling, additional electrical work needed, control systems, freight charges, any factory authorized start up services, everything needed for a finished and useable product. Also a time line during which the work will be completed, that will also work around events that are already scheduled for that space.

Proposals may be submitted in hardcopy or digital format. Proposals must be marked or the email subject line must read “DCC Exhibit Hall Lighting Upgrade.” They are due in the Dixie Center Administration office by 11:00 am local time on Friday, January 21, 2022. A public opening of the proposals will be held at 11:30 am local time on January 21, 2022 in the Dixie Center Administration office. All proposals must be valid for a 3 month period.

Notice of Vacancy — Board of Trustees of Washington County Water Conservancy District

NOTICE is hereby given that there is a vacancy on the Washington County Water Conservancy District Board of Trustees (the “Board”) resulting from the resignation of Kenneth F. Neilson. Washington County intends to appoint a replacement to serve out the remainder of Mr. Neilson’s unexpired term, which ends on December 31, 2022.

To qualify for appointment to that Board, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Be a registered voter at the location of the individual’s residence; and
  2. Be a resident within the boundaries of Washington County Water Conservancy District

While all board seats are “at-large” and no municipality retains a permanent board seat, strong preference will be given to any applicant who is an elected official from St. George City, Washington City, Hurricane City, Santa Clara City, Toquerville City, and La Verkin City. The County Commission will make the appointment to fill the vacancy during its regular meeting held at 4:00 pm on February 1, 2022, 111 East Tabernacle, St. George, UT.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), with assistance from the Washington County as the project sponsor, announces the availability of the Draft Supplemental Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA) for the Warner Draw Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Project (Project) within the Warner Draw Watershed in Washington County, Utah.

You are invited to attend a virtual public meeting where project information will be provided and comments solicited for the Project Draft Plan-EA. Interested parties may voice their comments, ideas, and concerns to NRCS and Washington County during this meeting.
