Polling: 7:00 am — 8:00 pm
In compliance with Utah Code 11-14-202, notice is given that the RAP Tax renewal will be on the Ballot for the Regular General Election being held Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Voting Locations & Precincts
Washington County will have Vote Center locations on November 5, 2024 to assist voters. Accessible voting equipment will be available at the vote center to assist voters with sight and mobility issues. Disabled voters may also contact the county Clerk’s office to learn more about a new program to assist them in voting independently at home, please contact us at (435) 301-7248.
All Washington County precincts will be available at the vote center location. The vote center locations are the Dixie Convention Center, 1835 Convention Center Dr, St George, Utah and the Hurricane Community Center, 63 S 100 W, Hurricane Utah 84737. More information can also be found on the county’s website or https://vote.utah.gov/. The polls will open November 5, 2024 at 7:00 am and continue open until 8:00 pm of the same day.
If there are any changes to the location of a vote center or the addition of a vote center more information will be provided at county’s website or https://vote.utah.gov/.

Regarding imposing a Recreation, Arts, and Parks Sales Tax (RAP Tax)
Should Washington County impose a one tenth of one percent (1/10th of 1%) sales and use tax for the purpose of funding recreational and cultural facilities and organizations such as the following:
- Publicly owned or operated athletic fields, parks, playgrounds, gymnasiums, swimming pools, campgrounds, trails, or other facilities used for recreational purposes; and
- Non-profit organizations, institutions, and municipal or county cultural councils having as their primary purpose the advancement and preservation of art, music, theater, dance, cultural arts, or natural history?

EXTENDED: Vacancy for Northwestern Special Service District Administrative Control Board
DEADLINE EXTENDED to October 28 by 5:00pm
NOTICE is hereby given that because of the resignation of two members, there are two vacancies on the Northwest Special Service District Administrative Control Board expiring on December 31, 2025. The county invites any interested person to apply for appointment to the board, provided that the person meets the qualifications stated in this notice.
To qualify for appointment to that Board, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a U.S. Citizen;
- Be a registered voter residing in the boundary of the Northwestern Special Service District
Those wishing to serve on the Northwestern Special Service District Administrative Control Board should submit a completed Notice of Candidacy form to the Washington County Commission on or before October 28, 2024, 5:00pm.
- Two (2) vacancies on the Northwestern Special Service District Administrative Control Board

Public Notice – Seeking Proposals for Emergency Operations and Legacy Park Storage Facility
PUBLIC NOTICE
Washington County Utah is seeking Qualification Proposals for the construction of an Emergency Operations and Legacy Park Storage Facility with offices and training near the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hurricane City, Utah at 5710 W Shooting Sports Park Rd. The new facility is planned to include garage bays, storage space, offices, and associated uses. The facility is expected to be approximately 17,225 square feet in size. For preliminary plans and a copy of the Request for Qualifications, respondents may send an email to: nicholle.felshaw@washco.utah.gov. Deadline for Submission of Statement of Qualifications: 4:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Washington County Commission Office at 111 E Tabernacle, St. George, UT 84770 (Google Maps). Only those respondents who are pre-qualified through this process will be allowed to bid on the construction of the facility.

In accordance with UCA 20A-4-104, testing of the automatic tabulating equipment will be held at the Washington County Administration Building, 111 East Tabernacle Street, St. George, UT 84770 (Google Maps), on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at noon. The meeting will begin in the outside office, Entrance C. This office is located on the north side of the building, facing east.
