Washington County is soliciting proposals from licensed funeral service establishments located in Washington County that wish to provide cremation services for unclaimed decedents and County-approved indigent decedents at the County’s set rate of $1,000 per decedent, consistent with Utah law and applicable Washington County ordinances and policies. The County is not requesting price proposals. The County intends to enter into an agreement with each responsive and responsible Respondent that meets the requirements of this RFP and agrees to accept the County’s set rate.
The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be available from the Washington County Administration Office on Monday, September 28, 2026, and can be requested by emailing Nicholle Felshaw at nicholle.felshaw@washco.utah.gov. To be considered, a proposal must be submitted to the County on or before October 2, 2026. NOTICE is hereby given that there are vacancies on the Washington County Water Conservancy District Board of Trustees. Washington County is the appointing authority for the board.
Available positions are:
Three (3) vacancies which board positions will expire on December 31, 2030. Those who are interested in serving on the Board of Trustees must submit a completed Notice of Candidacy form to the Washington County Commissionon or before November 6, 2026 at 5:00 pm. The Washington County Commission will make the board appointments during the regular county commission meeting held on November 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
One (1) midterm vacancy board position will expire on December 31, 2026. The County is seeking a partner that will treat the Fair as a community institution, one that reinvests in Washington County, prioritizes local artists, tradespeople, and talent, and works hand-in-hand with the County Commission each year to shape a Fair.

The intent of Washington County of Utah is to obtain competitive construction proposals from qualified contractors for the physical construction (excluding design) of a new detention basin and associated earthen drainage infrastructure located at: Washington County Legacy Park, 5500 West 700 South, Hurricane, Utah 84737.
