Washington County Surplus Sale
Washington County is having a surplus sale. Open to the public, cash and carry only. Starting next week, Monday, September 18th through Friday, September 22nd or until everything is gone, whichever comes first. Hours are 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily, location is:

Notice is Hereby Given that the Board of Commissioners of Washington County will hold a public hearing to consider the Washington County Tourism Advisory Board’s Recommendation to assist in funding the Zion Canyon Music Festival, a Private Enterprise Project as defined by Utah Code Ann. §17-50-303(4). Washington County General Public Defender Contract Available
Members of the Utah State Bar in good standing are invited to apply for the following General Public Defender contract with Washington County to start on August 15, 2023:
General Public Defender Contract (1): $66,756 annual compensation plus CLE subsidy. Successful candidate will represent indigent clients as assigned by Fifth District court judges in Washington County.

Public Notice – Post Election Audit
In accordance with UCA 20A-1-102(23), the Washington County Clerk shall hold a Post-Election Audit on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 12:00 pm. The audit will begin at the Washington County Administration Building, 111 E Tabernacle St, St George, UT (Google Maps) outside entrance C, in the office on the left.
Public Notice Testing Of Automatic Tabulating Equipment
In accordance with UCA 20A-4-104, testing of the automatic tabulating equipment will be held at the Washington County Administration Building, 111 E Tabernacle St, St. George, Utah (Google Maps) on August 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm. The test will begin in room number 154, the outside conference room.

The Washington County Planning Commission will be holding a Public Hearing regarding the following zone changes:
- OST-20 (Open Space Transition 20-acre minimum lot size) zone to a RE-40 (Residential Estate 40,000 square feet minimum lot size) zone. The parcels considered for re-zoning are 7129-A-1-NW, 7129-B-NW, and BSH-2-A-N, located near Brookside Summer Home Subdivision. Applicant is Ryan Burton.
