PUBLIC NOTICE
Property Tax Adjustment by the
Washington County Commission

Please take notice that on the day of October 1, 2024, the Washington County Commission and pursuant to Utah Code Ann. 59-2-1347 adjusted the property taxes owed on the parcels described below after finding the adjustments to be in the best human interests and that the adjustment serves the interests to the state and county.

Notice of Proposed Tax Increase for Washington County School District

The Washington County School District is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.

  • The Washington County School District tax on a $245,197 residence would increase from $622.10 to $630.06, which is $7.96 per year.
     
  • The Washington County School District tax on a $245,197 business would increase from $1,131.09 to $1,145.56, which is $14.47 per year.
     
  • If the proposed budget is approved, Washington County School District would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 1.85% above last year’s property tax budgeted revenue excluding new growth.

All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.
