Zion National Park Sewer Improvements Phase 1

General Notice

Washington County (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Zion National Park Sewer Improvements Phase 1

Sealed bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Washington County Commission Office located on the fourth floor of the county administration building located at 111 E Tabernacle Street, St. George, UT 84770, until June 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read in the county commission chambers located at 111 E Tabernacle St., St. George, UT 84770.

The Project includes the following Work to be performed in Zion National Park:

Construction of approximately 4,350 lineal feet of 6" C900 PVC sewer line, 145 lineal feet of 6" SDR 35 sewer line, 450 lineal feet of 4" C900 PVC sewer line, approximately 4500 lineal feet of 4" C900 PVC water line, 4,900 lineal feet of 2" conduit, 2,700 lineal feet of 3” conduit, concrete sewer manholes, combination air vac/valve assemblies, gate valves, and a concrete vault. The project will also include site work, removal of sewer pipe, removal of sewer manholes, and electrical improvements.

Bids are requested for the following Contract:

The Project has an expected duration of 75 days. Washington County is the Project Owner and intends to dedicate the completed project to Zion National Park. The Project must be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents and standards set by the National Park Service.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Mandatory Pre-bid Conference

A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on June 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Zion National Park’s Maintenance office located inside the Park. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Bidders shall inform the entry station attendant that they are bidding on the project to be granted access to the Park.

The latitude and longitude of the office are approximately 37.211449°, -112.989354°. If entering from the Park’s south entrance, make the first available left turn, continue up the road taking the left fork, and you’ll reach a parking lot just north of the maintenance office. RFP for Greater Zion Social Media Coordinator

As the main destination marketing organization for Washington County, UT, the Greater Zion Convention & Tourism Office is seeking the services of a social media coordinator. The selected Contractor will work in conjunction with the Greater Zion marketing team, led by the Marketing Manager, Ed Aurrecoechea, to develop and implement a robust and comprehensive multi-channel social media strategy. The Greater Zion Convention & Tourism Office reserves the right to refuse any and all proposals.

Submittal must be received by 4:00 PM (Mountain) on or before May 22, 2025. All proposals shall be the property of the Owner and will become public record. If a bid proposal submission is received after this deadline, it will not be considered and will be rejected without any further action by the Owner.
